Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Around 2,000 American Positions – Report
Paramount Skydance plans to initiate significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August valued at $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, with the company intending to reveal all specifics in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Earlier reports had indicated the company planned to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
